European affairs are more exciting than ever before. The European Union is facing major changes. How will the European Union emerge from the Covid-19 crisis? What does the Green Deal mean for climate change and innovation? What to do with Member States that undermine the rule of law? What are the next steps regarding migration, the Euro, digital sovereignty, defense and foreign relations?

Shaping Europe is an online volunteer-based platform with an optimistic outlook on the European Union. Criticism of European policy is more useful when presented together with constructive solutions. The mission of Shaping Europe is to contribute to the discussion about the EU and European policy by publishing thorough articles presented in clear language.

European affairs are more exciting than ever before. The European Union is facing major changes. Will the EU be able to lead in the transition to zero emissions? Will it stay united in sanctions against Russia for Putin’s war in Ukraine? What are the next steps regarding migration, the Euro, digital sovereignty, defence, and foreign relations?

Shaping Europe is a volunteer-based think tank and platform for constructive ideas to bring the European Union forward. We publish articles on a bi-weekly basis. As we are an international team, we mainly meet online, but we increasingly meet in person for events or to socialise whenever possible.
