About Us

Shaping Europe’s mission is to empower young Europeans, amplifying their voices and providing a platform to actively contribute to the future of Europe. Our work primarily involves writing informative articles that are shared on our website, as well as in person activities such as workshops. 

Shaping Europe was founded in 2020, and is registered as a non-profit organisation in the Netherlands. Our operations are driven entirely by a passionate team of volunteers, currently numbering thirteen dedicated individuals.

Role Overview

As a Fundraiser, you will be at the forefront of ensuring our organization’s sustainability. Your efforts will directly impact our ability to drive change by securing the necessary (non)financial resources through subsidies, grants or other channels. 

As a fundraiser you will also hold a position on Shaping Europe’s board, and closely cooperate with the Chairman. This dual role not only encompasses all aspects of raising funds, but also grants you the opportunity to contribute insights to the organisation’s broader strategic goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective fundraising strategies aligned with our mission and goals.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with potential donors, partners, and sponsors.
• Identify and pursue diverse funding opportunities, including grants, donations, and partnerships.
• Collaborate with internal teams to create compelling proposals and presentations.
• Monitor fundraising progress, analyze outcomes, and adapt strategies for optimal results.

Qualifications

• Passion for our mission and a deep interest in European affairs.
• Proven track record in fundraising, donor relations, or a related field.
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey our mission and impact.
• Relationship-building expertise with the ability to connect with diverse stakeholders.
• Creative and strategic thinking to identify innovative funding avenues.

While most of our work is done remotely, we find it important to come together in person regularly to brainstorm, get to know each other, and have fun! We find it important that all of Shaping Europe volunteers can attend these gatherings, and therefore we will only consider applicants that are based in the Netherlands.

Availability required is about five hours per week.
